Silver

Silver was known as far back as the 4th millennium BC in Egypt, Persia, China. This was due to the fact that it as gold was very often free-spirited, and there was no need to obtain it from ore. In Assyria and Babylon, silver was considered a sacred metal and a symbol of the moon.
