Brass

Brass – was known to the ancient Greeks and Egyptians as far back as BC. By the end of the 18th century it was obtained by melting copper and zinc ore mixed with charcoal. Direct combustion of copper and zinc began in the 19th century. Brass is the most common of the copper alloys. It is easily processed by pressure, has high mechanical properties, is a beautiful color and is relatively inexpensive.
